This was a very large cedar tree in my neighborhood that I happened to pass as they were in the process of cutting down. I always marveled and the scale of the trunk whenever I'd walk by. It was squeezing out of the planting strip and creating quite a bump in the sidewalk. It must have been there for a long time and surely would have outlived the owners of the property where it grew had it been left alone. Sometimes the sunlight would light it up in the most magical way on summer afternoons. There was a huge arm that came out of the sloping trunk just overhead so inviting that made you want to climb up to it. Now it is gone.

Pictures of the tree from google maps.

A few paintings of "mis vacaciones en San Pancho" from earlier this year. I didn't paint them there. Well actually the building one I did on the plane, but the others I painted from photos when I got back home. I tried to do a painting every night around this time. It lasted about a week if I recall.

Please contact via Instagram or Bluesky . I know it's unconventional, but the bots scraped my email off this site. You wouldn't believe how much junk mail I get now. Probably too late, but I had to remove it. And I haven't figured out how to make a contact form yet so for the time being it'll have to be this way. I could probably have ai do it for me but fuck that. Thank You.
